There’s a whole new line up of interesting shows that are scheduled for this Fall, one of them premiered the pilot episode on September 16th: “Sleepy Hollow”. For those of you who are looking for a mixture of suspense, action, and a bit of horror/supernatural, I definitely recommend this series. The pilot was jam packed with suspense and action and there was even some horror/supernatural mixed in there. Along with an interesting mix of 17th century and of the modern day world, this TV show is sure to get you hooked if this kind of genre is your thing.
I won’t go into detail as I don’t want to give any spoilers, but if you scare easily, like myself, then I don’t recommend watching this AT NIGHT. It’s not so scary that your heart is pounding and your adrenaline is coursing through your body, but it was creepy and the ending definitely made me a bit squeamish and uncomfortable because of the imagery.
“Sleepy Hollow” was on my “Maybe” list only because I was incredibly disappointed with the movie “Sleepy Hollow,” which felt unrealistic and little-kiddy in a way, it just didn’t fit the image I had in my mind. The show, however, is definitely a huge step up from the movie and it is more “adult” oriented. I’m sure there are some youngsters who are watching this show, or even teenagers, so I guess I should say the audience is geared more towards young adults and adults. That being said, without getting into too much detail, if what you have read so far has sparked your interest in this TV show, I definitely recommend watching it. I’ve only watched the pilot episode so far, but I’m looking forward to sitting through the second episode to get myself all caught up! “Sleepy Hollow” is no longer on my “Maybe” list and has moved up to my “Must Watch” list, it has even been marked on my calendar so I remember what days it’s on TV (Mondays).
